The Founders and Managing Directors

The two managing partners, Stephan Keucher and Thomas Bietz, founded ST-Engineering GmbH in 2020 with the aim of providing manufacturer-independent engineering and consulting services for the development of rail vehicles.
We want to drive the development of safe, innovative, and reliable vehicles.

Stephan Keucher

Driven by a passion for technology and a keen eye for innovative solutions, Stephan Keucher founded the company to efficiently and reliably execute challenging development projects. His journey into the world of engineering began with a deep enthusiasm for automotive engineering and systems integration. Today, he brings this expertise to every project—combined with high standards of quality and an open, collaborative approach. Stephan Keucher stands for values such as reliability, precision, and a forward-looking mindset. He is convinced that only those who understand technology and think holistically about processes can create sustainable solutions.

His guiding principle: “Standardized vehicle designs are the key to success and can still meet individual customer needs.”

Thomas Bietz

Thomas Bietz brings his expertise primarily to the areas of risk management, security architectures, and security verification. With a deep understanding of complex technical interrelationships, he ensures that projects are implemented in a structured and standards-compliant manner from the very beginning. He is committed to the transparent, yet practical and unbureaucratic implementation of regulatory requirements. In doing so, he combines analytical thinking with a clear eye for practical solutions—an approach that offers customers both security and efficiency. Thomas Bietz is convinced that successful projects depend not only on technology, but also on clear processes and open collaboration.

Our engineering team provides flexible and highly skilled support for technical projects—both independently and in close collaboration with your internal departments. We place particular emphasis on transparent, efficient, and straightforward collaboration.

Independent handling of clearly defined sets of tasks (contract for services)

We take full responsibility for managing defined work packages. This provides you with significant relief without requiring any additional coordination effort. Our employees work in a structured, solution-oriented manner and deliver transparent results—on time and of the highest quality.

Support in the departments (employment contract)

If needed, we integrate directly into your existing teams and provide hands-on support to your departments. When it makes technical sense or is necessary for the project, we work directly on-site at your location. This allows us to resolve challenges together more quickly and achieve project goals efficiently.

Individual or team – depending on the project requirements

You can hire individual specialists or rely directly on a well-coordinated team. This allows you to maintain maximum flexibility in your resource planning.

Remote or on-site—whichever makes the most sense from a technical standpoint

We generally work remotely to ensure efficient processes and quick response times. However, if it is necessary for technical reasons or critical to the success of the project, we will of course come to your location immediately.

Temporary staffing

We deliberately do not operate under a temporary staffing model. Our services are always provided through service or contract agreements—transparent, clearly defined, and offering significant added value.
